Thanks to a Women of Fearrington grant, WEBB Squared, which supports Black and brown entrepreneurs in Chatham County, Shannon was able to develop her fledgling commercial cleaning business. WEBB Squared provided her coaching, strategic planning advice, pricing and marketing strategies  and detailed feedback. These interventions helped Shannon highlight the quality of her services and win a multi-year award contract. Moreover,  Shannon, who is a single parent, was struggling to balance her home and work life and to ensure that she had a steady stream of income. Due to her business success, she has been able to expand her operations, hired two employees, and reports that she now enjoys better work life balance and has a more dependable source of income for her family.
